Projects

From time to time, when I have free time or a bunch of random motivation sprouting out of nowhere, I would spend about 1 day just fixating all my attention on a project, and basically neglect anything else that is probably important.

There's 3 main categories that I find interest and would consider a "project", rather than my hobbies which I spend time a long long period of time on.

Coding

This is something new, to be honest I've never coded much before other than in school. The only significant thing I did was a study timer on Scratch, but that's about it. Recently, I took part in a hackathon with my friend and brother. It was so fun lol. I got so inspired by the pros there that I really wanted to ACTUALLY learn to code, starting with HTML and CSS (we made a website in the hachathon which was carried by my friend the whole way). And that's basically how this website was born.

Music

Music's not only performing in competitions or concerts, there's also composing/arranging music. Mostly during the holidays where I can spend multiple days, I would attempt to compose music myself on Musescore. For arranging, sometimes I'd get requests from people in band to arrange a known piece for them, which is easy because there's usually reference scores online, and all you have to do is copy the music and transpose etc. Sometimes, I would also arrange music for myself to play or just for the fun of it, so that one day I can just open Musescore and admire my efforts.

Math

Math hm. Maths is basically my favourite subject (yes I'm weird), but not because I find it easy. There's countless times where I find math very tough too, but what I like about it is the "figuring out" part, basically the process and attempts of trying to understand the monstrosity in front of me. It can take as short as 5 minutes, or sometimes I would need a few hours or even days to fully process whatever I'm studying. So far, my only projects have been playing around in Desmos, creating some bizarre designs. I've also taken part in the HIMCM competition in November 2025, but I'm not even allowed to share it online oops.
